Dr. Loerzel is a board certified pediatrician with over 30 years of experience. His background in Osteopathic Medicine aligns with his desire to support the body's natural ability to heal while incorporating advances in medicine to augment it with science-based interventions as necessary.

Primarily Dr. Loerzel focuses on the care of children and providing parents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions in all aspects of their little one's needs.

He and his wife have 4 children adopted from Russia and intimately understand the challenges of being an adoptive parent and having neurodivergent children.

In addition to pediatrics, he has served as a Brigade Flight Surgeon in the Army, deployed to Iraq for 16 months, and lived in Morocco with his family while working as the Regional Medical Officer for West Africa with the Peace Corps. These experiences and participation in disaster relief, international health initiatives and tropical medicine help to round out his approach to complex issues.

Coming to Newma allows him to continue his love of teaching, collaborate with other disciplines in medicine and health, while being part of a team that supports wellness and empowerment to provide families with compassionate and comprehensive care.
